August 14th, 2006 r8e8rcomThis guy seems to be all the rage right now and I think I like it, but something on this track reminds of a song that could have been on the brady bunch or some other cheesy 70s sitcom. Here’s the blurb about him on his label site:
The ex hair-model and ice cream van driver has more recently been performing live on stage as Ladytron’s bass player, as well as his duties as a member of NINJA TUNE’S, critically acclaimed Super Numeri, whose ‘Great Avaries’ album was released last year. Sounding like Smokey Robinson produced by Phil Spector, and taking his inspiration from artists such as Syd Barrett, Marvin Gaye and Bob Dylan, the album was recorded in 2003 in a Victorian mansionette.
