Bound Stems - Appriciation Nigh - mp3 review
Andy and I went to the ‘Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin’ show last night, both equipped with guest list spots and plus ones. Sadly, we both got ditched and had to watch the lady at the door at Mercury cross our names off and scratch out the little 2 next our names when we told her we didn’t bring anyone with us. Yeah, we are losers, can’t even get anyone to go to a FREE show with us. Small guilt trip for an unnamed person on this list (you know who you are 
who did the ditching. Not really…….well maybe just a tiny one. Anyway, the show was pretty good. Not mind blowing or anything like that but good.
If you guys remember ‘Bound Stems’ is the band that I went to see and walked out on. Yeah, I was wasted and looking for a dance party, but they also cleared the room that night. Its not that they were necessarily bad per se, just not interesting enough in a live format to keep people there. Thing is I still really like their album, which is why I’m sending these tracks today. Plus they are from Chicago, and as most of you already know I tend to like anything from Chicago (Braid, Detachment Kit, Cap’n Jazz, Chin Up Chin Up, etc, etc). I’m sure you fuckers are going to rip them, but if a bad show doesn’t change my mind about them, your not going to either so have at it.
