Forward Russia - Give Me A Wall - mp3 review
September 18th, 2006 r8e8rcomI had an awesome weekend filled with lots of free grey goose vodka, dancing, bright yellow paint, redskins, and of course whiskey. While I was walking up Ave. A yesterday I walked past this dorky looking guy wearing a rediculous yellow hat and carrying a hockey stick. I thought he looked familiar so I turned around and looked back, he noticed and kinda turned away. We ended up walking next to each other for a few blocks and I realized that he kinda looked like Mike Meyers. I was building up the nerve to ask him and I thought how lame it would be to bother the dude. You could tell by his stupid yellow hat that he was trying to stay incognito. But I was starting to think that maybe it wasn’t him, I am so bad at spotting celebrities, I didnt even reccognize Borat when Matt and I met him. But right as I thought that some guy walked up to him all giddy and shit and was “Hey, your Mike Meyers! What the hell are you doing here?” After seeing the way he reacted I was glad I didnt say anything to him. Sarah W. can actually “one-up” my Mike Meyers story if she cares to share it with the group. Sarah?
I’m sending this from home again today so my mp3 resources are limited. Andy actually did the uploads for me (thanks).
¡Forward, Russia! got together in early 2004in Leeds, England - Tom Woodhead (vocals/synth), Rob Canning (bass), Katie Nicholls (drums), and Whiskas (guitar). Katie is Whiskas sister, and Tom and Rob were in The Black Helicopters. They also started there own label ‘Dance to the Radio’ that same year, however Mute has released this album here in the US.
