January 23rd, 2007 r8e8rcomI was walking down 17th street to get a sandwich today and I walked past a shopping cart. I just thought it was some homeless persons cart. As I past it I saw something moving in the cart out of the corner of my eye. My first thought was “oh my god, there’s a baby in that cart”. Then I looked again and saw that if it was a baby it was a really hairy baby. Maybe it was some kind of mutated dwarf or something. I had the feeling that I was in a lucid dream and I thought how pissed I would be if indeed I was in a dream and had to wake up to realize that the 4 hours I spent at work already didn’t really count because I was dreaming them. But it turned out to be a dog wearing a sweater in the cart and I wasn’t dreaming, so its all good.
Toronto kids. ohbijou started off as Casey Mecija writing in singing songs. These tracks are from their debut release ‘Swift Feet For Troubling Times’. I think Mike Olsen (Hidden Cameras) may have produced this record.
