Elevator Action - It’s Just Addiction - mp3 review
March 7th, 2007 r8e8rcomTrying to lay off the drinks for a bit, so I went to Sarah, Joe, and Kates place for a dinner party and tried the Jambalaya recipe again. Worked out a lot better this time. While I was there Kates gave me a CD to check out, so I’m sending some tracks from it today so that you guys can check it out. She gave it to me with the caveat that they sound much better live, so take em with a grain of salt.
Charlotte, NC’s rock threesome, Elevator Action’s much acclaimed debut album, Its Just Addiction, showcased a textbook example of write what you know, i.e. partying down in the dirty south. All of these tracks are from that release. Apparently their second album, ‘Society, Secret’, was recorded by John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr.,Sonic Youth,The Kills). I’ve not heard it, or anything about it other than that. Last.fm listed Centro-matic as a similar artist, not so sure about that, but check em out and see what you think.
