Yo, so we just got the insound spring/summer catalogs in today and they look mad hot. Grab one if you see it around, or just order something from Insound and you’ll get one in your order. There’s some funny editorial in there as well, especially Joes Indie Art Guide. The theme is ‘Save The Album’, and if you haven’t seen it yet, the photo actually did a promo spot for the Save The Album campaign, check it: http://www.vimeo.com/clip:107611

Blonde Redhead is Kazu Makino, Maki Takahashi and Milan born Italian twin brothers Simone Pace and Amedeo Pace. They take their name from a song by DNA, a 70s and 80s no-wave band from New York. Blonde Redhead caught the attention of Sonic Youth’s drummer, Steve Shelley, who produced their first self titled album in 1993. Shortly afterwards Maki Takahashi left the band and the remaining band members continued as a trio. On their fourth album, In an Expression of the Inexpressible, Guy Picciotto of Fugazi was hired as producer, as well as contributing to / singing on the song “Futurism vs. Passeism Part 2″. Guy Picciotto has produced their latest two records. These track are from their upcoming release, 23, which will be released 4/7/07 on 4AD.
